Grinding noise when I shift down....help

Just took delivery of a G35C 6MT. When I shift down to 2nd and first I can hear a grinding noise before the gear goes in.....is this normal? Also, hear some weird noise when I take off...someone told me is because of the tourqe...true? Last, my muffler tips are not align correctly...anyone else? TIA

Is the clutch fully engaged? Personally I've never had this problem and a grinding noise does not sound right at all! You should pay a visit to your dealership or complain to your sales rep. Any difficulties getting it into gear? If so their may be a transmission problem.

I have a similar problem. It doesn't happen all the time but on occasions. I feel some groves and I hear some clicking but no grinding sound. Also I have clutch shudder on occasion too. Some pple say that this is ok but I don't know. I want to take it to the dealer but the closest one is like 120 miles away so I haven't had a chance to go. Go ask dealer.

No problem getting into gear, all smooth. Went to dealer, the tech. and the service manager drove it, they all say don't seems like a problem...the ginding/winning noise when i shift into 1st or 2nd they say is due to some synchize thing or something. Well..but the take off def. sounds different...we took another coupe on the lot and it didnt do that....service manager told me to keep inform at my 1st service.

In the beggining, i had a grinding noise as well. When i got my first tune up, the grind niose diseappear, but I'm still hate this MANUAL! When shifting to 1st gear, it was hard shift! and even shifting to 2nd gear, damn hard!!! My right arm is getting of the hard shifting. Is this normal or what? Honda and BMW got the best SMOOTH shifter!
