Yeah, the scion looks a lot like an audi. The sticker price is expensive for a scion. Its at 17k compared to 13-14k for the other scions. I think they should have marketed it at 15k, making it cheaper than the civic coupe.

It's pretty much just a Celica. Only 160 hp.

They do some tricky camerawork in the commercials as well.

You never really get to see it for an extended period of time, and at strange angles.

Re: Imitation

I think it looks (from the front) more like a Skyline GT-R.

Re: Imitation

I think it looks like a good car for 17k. A little lacking in power but good for the price

Re: Imitation

for 17K, i don't think you can find a car with the same HP numbers... that guarantees like the toyota name does... and to be honest, i think it's going to detract from honda civics BIG TIME. i'd still rather have a new civic si, but it's a close one between the two for me.

Re: Imitation

Its 15k. Enough said. I'm 17, and it does NOT appeal to me.

All in all. It's a Scion. It won't have my beloved Nissan V6 3.5L engine.

Re: Imitation

When I see the front of the car it keep reminding me of a Subaru Legacy/Outback front For that price I rather spend a little more and get a beter and more equped Mazda3. If they really want to market the car well the should have made the car start at 12k and gave it a sport option that came with the 6spd you see in the Celica.

Re: Imitation

I think Toyota is gonna replace the Celica with the new tC.. The current celica is a big disapointment in my opinion it was slow stock and it was not very tuner friendly thats what hurt its popularity.. and i think toyota is tryin to gain back some of the tuner market with the Scion line of vehicles...

Re: Imitation

OH KAY... you're 17 with a G coupe, and saying the TC doesn't appeal to you? sorry, that's not exactly a big surprise. you aren't in the demographic that they're aiming at, which is probably civic owners. if your parents are rich enough to buy you a 36k car when you're 17, then i don't think you qualify as the middle class teen getting a sub-20k car which many civic owners in hs ARE.

as for me, i worked my *** off to buy my evo, and seriously thought of getting a civic si instead for quite some time (i would have, of course, "do stuff" to the car straight away) and consider myself more in a sub 20k car range than a 30-40k car range. it appeals to me, because it financially makes sense, it has decent hp/tq numbers for its class (not srt level, of course) and i think it looks great.

and it's not 15k, it's 16 and a half.
