350Z with fart can

I was driving down Colorado Bl. in Pasadena today and I heard someone revving their engine. It was REALLY high pitched and I thought a crappy motorcycle was behind me. I looked in my rearview mirror and saw a silverstone 350Z driving in the opposite direction. He must have had some kind of fart can exaust. Man that thing sounded horrible. Why would someone do that? I just had to shake my head and laugh.

Re: 350Z with fart can

fart can? many of us have those " Fart cans" but some brand sound better than others. what if he custom made a full catback and he is not happy with the sound but what can he do? he probably just have to stick with it. Or maybe he has Cat delete pipes which produce the raspy, high pitch sound.
sometimes, you have to sacrifice things for performance.

I guess you're right. He probably had it custom made and is stuck with it. It didn't sound like and aftermarket exhaust I've heard for our cars. It sounded like a civic running on 2 cylinders with the muffler cut off. If that's what test pipes sound like, I don't want them. (Not street legal anyways). If this mod meant more performance for this guy, it sure didn't look like it. He was revving high & loud but moving pretty slow. BTW, sweet pic in your test post.
