Has anyone gotten a VIN # for their 'Z' order coupe, yet?

You are lucky guy. Do you live on the west coast? If you do, then my car is probably making it's way around the Panama canal, to the east coast.

 

Yep, I'm in Cali... it should be coming by the end of this month from the info from my dealer.

I am a little restless, since my dealer hasn't even given me a VIN. I guess I just have to be patient.

 

they ship to the east coast? i thought that they ship them all to the LA docks and then either truck or train them to their destination.
At least thats what my salesman told me when i got my order# from him (i live in detroit)

Nope, they definitely ship them through the canal and to eastern ports.

Just got word from my saleslady that my Z order is due to arrive April 22nd. She did say that it will most likely come in earlier, but scheduled for the 22nd. I'm here in Dallas, TX btw.

My "Z" order is scheduled for April 16th. My friend who works for the dealer said that they already have my VIN and the car might be here even earlier...

 

I called my dealer today, again, but they still don't have a VIN number for me. They don't even know when it will be here, or if it has already been shipped. What's up with that? I would assume that all 'Z' order cars are on the same ship, but I worried, since they can't give me status.
If you have your VIN, I think there is a website where you can track your car. Ask your dealer about it.

 

i know that in canada they ship to the west coast (vancouver)and then send to the east coast by train

 

I don't believe all Z orders are on one big ship together. Some finish production sooner, and leave earlier.

Just to let you guys know that 6 G35 coupes & a few 350Z's were stolen from the port in Newark recently. I hope this doesnt affect anyone.

 

i actually just walked in on st. patties day to order one and they had one sitting there that was available!!!! it had every thing that i was planning on ordering to boot!!! the only thing extra is they had put a gold package on it put it looked beutiful with it so i did not mind drove it home tuesday been living in a dream world since!!!!!
really stoked about not having to wait
