I have a base 06 in my sites (no spoiler) I was thinking to back date it to a 2005 look with the bigger wing - will it fit? any disadvantages?

The new spoiler just doesn't do it for me...

great site,

josh

It will fit fine. No disadvantages. I used to have an 03-05 spoiler on my 06.

When I bought my 07 it didn't have a spoiler. I was told by the salesperson that I could choose either the current or older style.

I also have an '05 spoiler on the '06. I really wanted a spoiler but I thought the '06 was too understated so I went with the '05. I got it online for ~$220 and had it installed. I probably could've done it myself but I didn't feel comfortable drilling holes in my trunk haha.

very nice guys thanks

you were happy with the color match of the pre-painted spoiler?

I am super excited because I actually want the smaller wheels but love the big spoiler.

i thought i wanted an 03-05 on my 07. but decided at the last minute to go with the 06-07 style. VERY glad i did after installing it a few weeks ago.

picked mine up a few weeks back from this seller on ebay:

couldn't be more happy with the quality of it. would highly recommend them.

fyi, excellent post here with all the different spoiler options:

Do the holes on an 06 match up for a spoiler from an 03-05?

I put 05 spoiler on my spoilerless 06 coupe. You don't need to have it painted. you order it from the dealer in the correct paint code for your car. it comes painted.

You'll need a couple large drill bits and hole saw bits. the instructions with the wing will tell you the sizes. I think I paid $500 for the spoiler from the dealer and about $30 for the bits from home depot.

took about 30 minutes to install..

easy. anybody with a basic knowledge of tools can do it. It's a little disconcerting to drill holes in your trunk but it comes with a tape on pattern that makes it idiot proof.

not true, i was at a dealer earlier in the week and i saw a black 05 g35 coupe with the factory spoiler installed, and the guy who did it drilled the hole to far up and the spoiler doesnt cover the hole and you can see the wires sticking out.
