I just got off the phone with Doug from Crawford Z. I have plans to drop my 04 coupe off with him Saturday, May 29th. He's going to have it for about 2 weeks. Should be a totally different car when I get it back!!!! I'll post pics of all they did when I get it home.

Are u getting an ECU reflash?? I just got off the phone with him also to order the plenum and I asked him about the headers/cats combo along with the ECU reflash to make it all work accordinly. He said he got an ECU this past week and he'll be testing it soon.

 

headers, cats and plenum shouldn't take more than 2, 3 days tops. Are you getting FI?

 

Doug told me to drive it up early in the morning and he'd do the headers, cats, plenum in one sitting. Gotta love not being in L.A. if you want the Crawford package .

that's what I was thinking cat. A couple of techs could get all that done in a day if they could just concentrate on your car. I'm thinking FI. What else would take 2 weeks?

1) aren't headers bad for a fairly new engine?

2) are high-flow cats illegal?

3) do the headers really add close to 40 hp?

4) does the pro-charger S/C fit on a AT?

 

I've heard mention that headers are bad for a new engine, but I've never heard a reason why. All they do is allow exhaust to exit the block easier. I can't see how that would harm an engine....

My current cats were damaged in a freak jack accident, sorry.

Not sure if it will fit an AT, but I think it will.

I'm not expection forty HP . I will be happy with 15rwhp. I have no idea what Crawford claims they'll add.

40 hp..no problem..!
header may add 10-15hp
plenum with CAI 15 hp
cat will be like 5hp
this is like 30-35hp already so...if they fine tune it
40 is no problem...!

no offense, but you cant just add up horsepower gain from each part together like that. That is what one would call ricer math. The only way to tell what the net horsepower gain from those three mods together is to get a baseline dyno before and then one after all three are installed. I learned this from experience w/ my daily driver integra gsr. I too wish the horsepower add up that way.
