NEED HELP ASAP, Back License Plate Light Problem

so i go to install these white cold cathodes
http://www.xoxide.com/dual-white-cold-cathode-kit.html

and i manage to take out the bracket holding the oem license plate lights

i didnt want to cut the main wires that split up to each license plate light, so what i did was just cut off the plastic around the wires to expose the bare wires. I go to connect the wires from the cold cathodes and go to turn my lights on, SUCCESS! the lights turn on, flicker then turn off.. i then try to tighten the grip around oem wires but doesnt work, i take off the wires from the cold cathodes and turn the lights on, my oem license plate lights also dont turn on.

my question is.. is this a blown fuse or what? because all of my other lights work, especially my trunk and the tail lights... so help me out guys, i know theres some guys i pmed on here about the install and they told me it was a pretty easy job, ugh im not known to fail at installs so das y im so pissed.. so lend a hand guys, thanks a lot in advance

EDIT: GREAT SUCCESS! it was just a busted fuse, didnt know there wus a 3rd fuse box, thanks for all the help guys

You cant go wrong with leds. They provide great lighting quality and that site i posted has the cheapest prices around! They are cheaper than stand bulbs!

im lookin at the service manual, the brake and trunk lights look to be on a different fuse. the parking lights in the tail lights, plate lights, corner lights, and in the headlights are all wired together. they wire into the BCM, so i would say check the fuses.

did u mean corner lights as in the clear corners? cus those seem to be off but my headlights and tail lights and parking lights are all functional.. but really i can bust a fuse with a 3.5 wattage added on to the existing oem stuff?

yeah, clear corners.
my guess is that maybe there was a short somewhere?
the full heads and tails would work, just the dim tails & the orange lights that are also turning lights would be dead.
