since everyone is talking about the oil consumption problem of our baby G, i just checked my oil level yesterday. i saw the oil level is 1/8 below the H mark. is this oil level right for our car.by the way ,i just changed my oil 3 days ago. any pic will be the best .

 

Yup, that's where it should be when you put in 5 qts.

 

Is it even possible to see what level you are at with the POS dipsticks?

Whoever designed the oil check in the G is an idiot.

i have never seen such a terrible design on an oil dipstick!!

 

Anywhere between H and L is fine, just don't OVERfill it.

 

ive always asked the same question, last time i did an oil change and put in 5qts it was about 1/8" away from the H mark. Yes the dipstick sucks, you need to pull it out quickly several times to get an accurate reading, but eventually you will get the hang of it.

 

I have hated the dipstick since day one. It is the only thing that I really dislike about my car actually. I keep thinking of a way to make it better but there really isn't one.
