Pitch me...
Re: Pitch me...
Very broad question. In my opinion it is in every way better than your BMW. I would definitely look into it. Great handling, power, response, brakes, and most of all great looks! 280hp Rear wheel drive, 1/4- 14.2 Sweetest exhaust tone next to a ferrari. Great luxury, pricing is great! Its an Infiniti. Also known as a Nissan Skyline in Japan. Great mods for it as well. Can be bought from 32K-40K new. Good luck, Im sure you will get into this car. Also, check out Nissans 350Z

Too subjective. I love mine, as most do here. Only way to convince yourself is to test drive one.
Try it. You'll prolly love it too.

Re: Pitch me...
I traded an E36 ('95 325is) for my G coupe as my name here indicates. I also test drove a new E46 330ci. It was a no brainer for me after the test drives of the two new cars, even ignoring the price difference (which was about $5K since BMW was discounting '03s last spring and I could only get $500 off on the loaded G). I have zero regrets a year later. The car is still an unmitigated joy to own and drive, and I have had no problems with it of any consequence.
I'd strongly suggest back-to-back test drives of the current BMW (330ci I assume?) and the G coupe. You'll know then...

Re: Pitch me...
That is high praise right there for the G coupe. I never considered a BMW at the time due to the high price, but I can say that the 7 months later I probably enjoy driving my G coupe even more than when I first got it.
Hell, I love it so much I bought an FX35 for my wife!

Oh - My - God.
I just sold an 03 Acura CL-S Nav to get a G.
The Acura was a very nice car.
A fast car.
But it just cannot even come close to the power/looks of
the G.
The G35 is super-sweet and tight as a virgin's a**.
I'm just waiting for the 2005 G35.
The rumor is: a few signifcant upgrades for 2005.

Re: Pitch me...
It's a piece of junk. The G35 coupe 6speed are pieces. Especially ones that are black and do not have the aero package. Definitely stay away from these..
Everyone and their mom AND grandma seem to own a G35 these days. Don't encourage anyone else to buy a G35.

i'm almost on the brink of going back to a 330i. i have a 03 6mt, and while its been great fun to drive, its been a little disappointing on build quality.
i have a '01 330ic Convertible lined up ... with only 42k mi, fully loaded (sport & premium pkg) for $30k ... its very tempting.

I hate my G so much it's all I think about...I mean...don't buy one...especially not a Diamond Graphite with 19" PIAA's if you live in LA. =)
2 G or NOT 2 G, there is no question!

Re: Pitch me...
In comparison to a comparably equipped 330, the G falls a little short on luxury and refinement, but edges the BMW (slightly) in performance, exhaust note and looks. Back to back test drives should make up your mind... see where you can find the torque, the G gives you torque all around... does the 3?
