Hacksaw job
Hey Rush;
I did crawl under my G35 the other day to look at the exhaust. I was planning to do some pounding to tighten it up, but the hangers, bends, spacing all seemed to be where they are supposed to be. So I just took out the hacksaw and cutoff 1.5 inches from one of the tailpipe ends, and now it sticks out just 1.5 inches. From certain angles it looks fine, but some angles it doesn't. But really the only people who may notice are those fools trying to race me ... I may decide to cut off another 1.5 inches to get it flush with the back bumper.
Even with the need to cut to get it to fit perfect I'm happy with the purchase. I think the tone/sound is still awesome. I also realize it sounds better with the windows down (something I don't do much during the winter). I do wish the fit was a little better, but as I mentioned a hacksaw to the tailpipe ends can care of that for me. I hope you don't have any issues with the fitment (or that it's just a matter of cutting the tailpipe end to the right length). Let us all know how it turns out.
