g35 coupe mods

Hey I am going to be purchasing a g35 in the fall and i have two questions should i wait for the 05 model to come out or should I save some money and get a 04 what would you recommend? The second question is regarding mods what mods could i add to add about 30-60 hp fairly cheaply and would I still have a warranty after the mods?

Wait for the '05. Save your "monthly payment" between now and then and you're looking at another $2000 in the bank to get the Nav if you want or some mods. Not too many mods will give you 60hp and keep the warranty.

Re: g35 coupe mods

From the hear-say threads that I've been reading about 05's, I've heard there's a price increase (and minor updates)...

Personally I would purchase a g35 now so you have it for the summer (not sure where you live), but if you're going to wait for fall for sure then decide then when the 05's are out and you can compare and contract the new options/features.

Actually, that's not true. The 2005 G35 will be released in EARLY fall. (Not coming from a dealer, but rather common sense. Dealers will say anything to get rid of their existing inventory to make room for the new AND BETTER 2005s. It's all about the money.) So, your looking at the September/October time frame when they hit the showroom floors.

BASE ACURA TLX NOW WANT A G35 AGAIN THOUGH
Re: g35 coupe mods

From personal experience having worked in the car industry for acura and honda for more than 5+ years....Fall for new models..."REALISTICALY" is Late Oct - Nov...That's how it usually goes...Then even if it available, can you imagine what the "MARKUP" will be from MSRP? Most dealers will only have a few handful of the 2005's available! They won't let those go for at least sticker...and most likely they've added every option on top of it!

As in the case with the cpe's when they first came out, I remember there was a waiting list for about 6 months to a year! Remember the Z came out in Jan 2002 then a bunch of Z owners went aww man should've waited for the G's and traded them in? The Z Ownes paid FULL STICKER and G Cpe's too...Only now are dealers slightly coming down on prices...

If you're in no rush...then wait and order the 2005.

If you want to save money and love the G35 coupe the way it is now (me formerly converted sedan owner to cpe owner) then
get what is available now! Dealers will definietely give you a price break if you take what they have on stock now!

What if you don't like the changes they made in 2005 or the colors aren't what you are looking for? HMMMMM

If you've ever owned an Acura or a Honda...most of the time the changers are minor...Change the rims, tail lights, add some new colors...etc...

Here's a thought...what if the new 2005 cpe has more horsepower because the car might weigh more?
Just a thought...

Whatver you choose...just remember to stick with the G...You won't regret it...!

Re: g35 coupe mods

Well, cars can be modified ten ways from tuesday so 20 hp, realistically, isnt a big deal. It all comes down to....Do you wanna cruise in it this summer, or learn to drive it in the winter? Are memory seats that important? Do you whine about a button "not being where it should be" (My $.02...the volume control is on the steering wheel for a reason, learn it, live it, love it) and as far as the "cheap interior" Ive yet to have a negative comment about it from anyone. Oh yeah, and Sal Zaino (yes, the Sal Zaino, hes a friend of my girlfriends family) Told me I drive one of the most amazing cars on the road....all while he was sitting in his CL 55 AMG Kompressor. Made me feel great. The 05 isnt going to be a godsend thats going to make the 03 and 04 owners feel like they made a mistake.....doing that would be Nissan/Infiniti's worst mistake ever. It all comes down to....When do you want the car?

Sal Zaino is one of the two Zaino Brothers.

Most people swear by his products, some do nothing but degrade it, but it is one of the best available. Quite pricey, but thats what happens.

Wait for the 05. That's what I'm doing. Its worth the wait, hehe. With all those upgrades that I have heard on this site, it sounds pretty good to wait for the 05.

Re: g35 coupe mods

2005 G35 Coupe is scheduled to release in OCT/NOV (that is when people should/will be taking their deliveries of ordered cars).

If you have to wait till fall to buy the car then wait and see if you like and if its worth the price increase and then buy it. If not ... you should be able to find some nice 04s and get a great deal.
