Bottomed out
Whenever I have 3 or 4 passengers in my car, the bottom of my car scratches sometimes from dips or speed bumps. I don't even go that fast over them. Anyone else have that problem. I'm even considering getting springs and that would lower my car. Any thoughts?

haha. Well, it happens mostly when one of my friend who is about 300lbs. is in it. However, if I carry 3 average people in my car and got new springs, you think speed bumps will be a problem?

yeah that happened when i had 4 people in my car, and the biggest was in the back... BIG MISTAKE (no pun intended...)!

yea, try driving over them in an angle. when i have 3 people(including me) in my car, even though i go on an angle, i still end up hitting the bottom. i guess its something you gotta deal with, when driving with more than 2 people.

That's really weird. I once had six people in my car (me the driver, one front passenger, 4 people in the back). The back was really low, but for that 15-20 minute drive out of NYC and into NJ wasn't bad, I didn't bottom out anywhere. Of course, speed bumps do suck....the G shouldn't have that much difficulty over speed bumps and sh*t...it looks low, but it really has average ground clearance for a car...hell it even sits higher than the G35 Sedan according to Ground Clearance specs on the Infiniti web site.

I had that problem tonight when I had 2 in the back of my sedan, I recently a week or two ago lowered my car on B+G racing springs and rims, tonight my rear wheels were in the fender more than the front and it looked so stupid. Also I was scratching coming out of parking lots and stuff !! If your careful it wont be a problem, I also think im getting stiffer springs and also more of a drop in the front so it looks better also. Do it!! Martin

I've never had more than 3 people in my G. No one has ever sat in the rear driver side seat. My daughter 32lbs is the only person thats been in the back seat at all. If 3 adults are ridin with me I'll take the wifes Highlander.
