first off, I am real sorry if this is in the wrong section I appologize.
but I am wondering if my car is still under warranty.
it is a 2004 with 53k. I am having a weird clutch issue (I think its the throw out bearing, when I depress the clutch you can feel a rotating grinding feeling in the pedal, its worse at high rpm it sounds and feels like when you grind a gear with the shifter but the feeling is in the pedal).

thanks for helping out a newb.
and again sorry if this is in the wrong spot.

warranty is 4 Years or 60,000 Miles - whichever comes first. i believe the "4 years" starts from the date the vehicle was first sold/registered. a carfax VIN check can tell you that date.

chances are you're out of luck.

thats kinda what I had assumed, but about the issue.
the clutch still engages and disengages fine, it just has that noise/feeling witch I know is not a good thing, but the way it still operated fine makes me think the throw out bearing, I am not a noob when it comes to mechanics, I have done my fair share of head rebuilds, trany replacements ect, but that was all on 1990 ish vehicles, and I dont plan to attempt it on this one, but I know if I am in there to replace the bearing might as well do the clutch too.
how much would I be looking at? I read in a previous thread it was around 2500.

Na bro, the powertrain warranty is 6 years/ 70,000 miles. So you may still have a little left, get it checked out if you do.

Damn, there's nothing better than "Good News!" Does sound like the old
throw out bearing, they sing....click and eventually you can't put it in gear.
Good Luck....I hope the dealership takes care of your problem....
