Help car stuck in park!!

For some reason my car is stuck in park. I cant shift it to any other modes. (R, N,D) Does anyone know what the problem might be? Or how to fix it?

I'm just throwing this out there, but I had this problem with another car and it ended up being the BOO switch. (Brake On Off). Put your foot on the brake and see if your brake lights come on.

When i step on the brakes the ABS, VDC, & SLIP lights comes on... I also tried that shift lock thing and it works but when i put it back in park, i cant get out of it again.

I wouldn't drive it. I would call the dealership and have it towed there for diagnosis. IMHO if it's locking you out so you can't drive it there's probably a good reason for it, especially with those three lights coming on when you hit the brakes.

i have less than 30000 miles on my car. You think something like this would be covered by the warranty.

shift lock solenoid. it sits under your shifter. they fail often in colder weather. usually just stick. you can try and hit it with some white lithium grease
