LS swaps were really common in the bimmer world I even considered doing a LS7 swap in one of my 3 series I had. They sell the complete drop in kit (tranny engine ecu etc.) for the BMW for ~6 to 7k IIRC but yea like everyone said you can do it no problem its gonna be a lot of fun but your gonna cry when you see the bill.

So what about getting a used engine from a farely new totalled Titan that would cut the cost in half wouldnt it? Would the tranny from a titan fit? ive been on craigslist and have been noticing engines going for the low with low miles. this would be a nice recession DIY project! Man would this be a serious sleeper!

I picked up a used LS1 pretty cheap. May go LS3. Does anyone know of a drop in kit for the g or even the titan motor?

Completly possible, the Z and G are the same platform the motor mounting is the same. Chris Forsberg has a V8 Titan motor in his Z.
The swap is available with tranny adaptors, clutch, flywheels.

It is a great swap.

If you want to do a V8 swap, try getting a hold of one of the 5.0L V8s from the new FX50. 390 HP and still within the Nissan/Infiniti family. Now that would be sweet.

Toyota can suck on it!

Not sure if putting the 2jz in a heavy car like the G would be a good idea. But they sure are nice when you drop them in a s2000.
