Do you guys have the Dot Matrix painted??
I got my tint tonight and it looks good so far. The guy said he couldnt tint the dot matrix but said he could paint it for extra when the tint dries. He also said that I should get it done and would make my car look a whole lot better. I actually do trust the guy because he's somewhat of a friend to me.
What do you guys do about the dot matrix on the back? I am definitely going to get my painted. Any comments on it?

My tint shop applied a black strip. Now you can't see the "dot matrix."
No need to paint it.

I would find a skill tint shop that will tint over it. I had mine tinted and he tinted rigth over it. Its been around 9 months and no bubbles so far and looks great.

i think you have to remove the tint before you paint it though...
look into it.

hey you people who tinted right over the dot matrix....
do you have any white areas? not bubbles but the thing where the tint doesn't stick completely in all areas?

Mine is tinted over the dotted area and it is still sticking after a year. No problems whatsoever. SOme guys have sanded the dots to make it stick, bad idea. They RUST! Just either tint over them or put a vinyl strip over them.

Well he was saying that it will just look like a black stripe over that area. As of now, I don't like the way it looks at all. The guy is very experienced but just said he couldnt tint over it. Hmmm. Either way, hopefully it all works out.
I do have some bubbles on the back and if that remains, I know he will fix that as well.

I have my dot matrix tinted over and there has been no peeling or bubbling. It's not sticking 100% but like I said I've had no problems.
