i Have a silver coupe and im going to get tints later this month or next. Im just curious what everyone likes best on the coupes.I don't like the extremely dark look. It looks tacky IMO. Im thinking 30% but im not 100% sure yet. Will it be too light???

20-25%
30% is pretty much just a kinda black window, you can see through it pretty clearly. 20% is about where you can see that there's a person inside, but not really that many features.

Does IL. allow tint and how much would be my first question....the cops need
to be able to see in your car. That's one of the negative things about really
dark tint, the other being you can't see out of your car at night. I have 35%
all around, wish it was a little darker but at least I haven't been stopped....yet!

if car is a DD I would go with 35% to avoid hassels, if not, then 20%.

I think 20% is the best all around. Dark enough to hide, but not dark enough so you need to roll down windows at night or in the rain just to see.
I agree with someone else saying dark tint takes away from the classiness of a car. Sometimes i see a lexus or something with 5% tint and it ruins the look for me. I'm also not a fan of windshield tint at all...full windshield or just the strip.
Legal limit for me is 35%, and unsure if i'll go with that or try for 30%
