What to do with $3k

In february, I should have an extra $3k laying around. I'm debating between a lot of different ways to spend that on my completely stock 03 6mt coupe. I'm considering the following options:

1) Wheels + drop

2) Since I have some JDM badges in a box, maybe I can spend some cash on the interior parts (JDM airbag cover, engine cover, clock mod, debadged seats, etc.).

3) Engine mods...or a new motor since mine has 103k miles?

4) A beater to drive to/from work. I really don't want to daily drive my G. I'm thinking either a 240sx or a turbo DSM (eclipse).

5)Apply it towards my car loan. I still owe $10k on my whip

6) Well.... there's this girl I want to propose to...

Those are just a few ideas I had. What would you do with $3,000 on a stock '03 G coupe?

you still owe $10k on a 2003? i'd try to pay that thing off before you owe more than the car is worth.

hell, by the time you pay it off you might be looking at a different car. mods can always wait, although its hard to resist.

pay the car off or get a beater. especially with 103k miles. It can easily last over 200k if it is taken care of well, but better safe than sorry.

Definitely a smart idea, I ended up getting one when I bought it - 12 month 18,000 mile.

you put down 1k on an 11k buy and you're asking what to do with 3k? pay off the loan, no brainer.

I definitely understand that paying off the loan is the the wisest thing to do financially. Being that I'm 23, I guess I get tempted to stray from the proper course, lol. I was kind of hoping for some "get wheels or mods" replies. However, the G35 community is a far cry from the Mustang / Honda communities I've been a part of in the past. They would have definitely told me to get spend the cash on mods. I guess maturity comes with driving such a classy car. Using the 3k towards the loan will put me in good position to pay off the loan in 1.5 years. Thanks for the advice, I'll have to resist the temptation to start modding.

Actually, putting that $3,000 towards your loan wouldn't make any sense at this point, unless you're planning to buy a house. You bought your car used at a depreciated value and it will continue to depreciate at the same rate whether it's paid for or not. An 11k loan is a price many people can afford. That's about $280/month for a 4 year term or $230/month for a 5 year term. Save your cash for the rainy days or invest it in a CD.

You can always sell your car anytime by doing a loan pay off sale.

Just my 2 cents.
