Trust me, Nissan has already finalized everything I'm sure. It takes months of testing, fabricating, and contracting with vendors to make parts changes. Tons of testing for compatibility and then running things by the Finance department. A change to a part like that would throw financial projections into a tailspin.

Good luck though, I for one would love to have them, even for my 2004.5. Consider me as one who is "petitioning" but I'm not holding my breath. So long as I'm dreaming, consider me petitioning for backwards compatibility, and I'd like to request that this part be sold for less than $50 a set, lol.

I'd certainly like them... but I'm still buying one at the end of the year regardless. That's not exactly a deal breaker for me.

 

They are the same pictures from 2004 - can you be more specific.

OK - Go to the top (Photos & Multimedia) click on it. Scroll down to 2005 Infiniti Vehicles, click on G35. There are three shots - one of the coupe exterior, one of the sedan exterior and one of the sedan interior (which will be similiar to the coupe).

I'm with Silky, it wouldn't break the deal for me. And after looking at the '05 coupe pic again, it looks like the headlight housing is blacked-out. That's good enough for me. I wasn't looking forward to cooking open my headlights.

'05 IP(or ?) 6MT... ...Never too soon to think about modifications!!

All the pictures on that website look like the 2004 to me. I'd bet money that the one pictured 'is' an 04. I don't think anyone has posted pictures of the 05 yet, so, I don't see how anyone can know what it will look like.

 

only '05 they got is the Q45...

Wow, you guys. That's the official Nissan Website, not a rumormill. The Coupe appears the same externally, because it is the same. The sedan does not look like a 2004, because exterior body panels changed. The interior certainly is different. Again official NISSAN PHOTOS.

Well, the wheels are clearly different. They are six spoke whereas the 03 and 04 models are seven spoke.
