painted taillights question

I'm thinking about getting a shop to paint my taillights color-matched desert platinum. It should like like the opaque black overlays, but instead of black, the color will be the same as the car. I've seen some sick painted tails on the site and was wondering how much something like that usually costs. Thanks...

The G35 taillights unmolested, are the most recognizable and nicest looking tails on the road, why jack them up?

i don't know, I like em. to each their own I guess... I'm still torn between that and some tinted overlays.

Safe route, go with the tinted overlays. I've thought about tinting mine but like devildog said, the G tailights are very sexy (but bright red) tailights. Why change them?

If I go the overlay route (i'm leaning in this direction) I'm definitely feeling the GTR style pictured below in a smoke or opaque black. I just think the paint matched look is wild and different. I'll probably just stick to some overlays...

I was gonna post that pic too. GTR overlay is much better looking IMO, and also you can take it off easily.
