cant blame ya ^ we need to tag more, but really there is alot of threads on this subject, i mgetn my ztube in 1 day VIA UPS, im sticking with the stock airbox but switching out the oem tube,

Reason why, not so much heat soak.

oo ^^reason why im not putting in a pop charger bc i heard you get more heat soak w/o the heat shield , not talking about the tube. sorry didnt clarfiy myself

pfft, i dont think so, its just changing a tube and filter thats all, its easy to put back in

No, unless you have a major engine problem I would just take it out and go back to stock just to be sure.

Heat soak means that the air is going to be too hot around the the intake, meaning that it's sucking in hot instead of cold air, therefore draining your horsepower.

Word ^ thats why im sticking with the OEM airbox, but rockn the new ztube (going to be in 1 day!)

I got the popcharger/z-tube and honestly I don't notice a loss or gain in power... all I know is that it's pretty damn loud.

You're only losing a negligible amount of hp from it, probably 1-3. I have heard of the heat shield degrading over time, which is when your going to see a significant drop after it stops doing it's job.

Just make sure you take care of the heat shield and you'll be set.
