YESSSSSSSSSSS!

the time has COME!
Got my phone call from infiniti yesterday (he left a msg)
"Hi Carmine, this is Matt From Infiniti, just calling to tell you your car will be here friday"

WHOAA! lol
well my big problem was choosing a color. I told the dealer IP, BS, or DG. After i left the dealership i said "whatever color he gets is what im meant to have" i really couldnt choose so i left it in his hands, didnt care how or why he got that color but that would be my color cuz i love all three.
He said he has "Silver" now i know some people say silver for DG as well as BS so i will see tonite when i go there to check it out but its either BS or DG most likely BS which i couldnt be more happy about!
I actually got it with ONLY Premium - i like the all black interior look PLUS - i want to get some aftermarket wheels and have my 17's for the winters here in NYC. AND lol now i can buy a body kit or atleast a spoiler that everyone DOESNT have here in brooklyn. I am gonna go with the Impul Wing Lip i believe we shall see.
Wish me luck everyone! - time to go to Grubbs and some other places and order mats and clear corners wahoooo and then set up a place to get some tints done....FINALLLLLY!!!!

i will post pics the DAY i get it!
actually maybe ill take my digi-cam to the dealership if i go tonite to give it a look over before we finish the paperwork.
Ahhhh now ill be an official G35Driver!

Re: YESSSSSSSSSSS!

Chrome looks nice but is heavier, thus will slow you down. Wider wheels in back will cause more understeer, for what that's worth to you....better for daily driving, worse if your on a track.

Congrats on your new ride! I've had mine 3 months now and still wash her 3 times a week and stare at her every night after I clean the wheels.

Re: YESSSSSSSSSSS!

"this friday" lol
actually after calling back he said "it will be here tomorrow we can prep it and get u in it on friday"
i have a wedding to go to on friday and i am having body work done on my Altima before i give it back off the lease so im guessing ill get it on monday-ish

regarding the rims..
i know the chrome is heavier...thus my problem lol...everyone loves the big lip on the back rims i think it looks good but if its not good for driving then screw it...

honestly i cant spend more then 1500-1700 on rims and tires i know its not alot but can only do what i can - saving money as much as possible just dropped like 1200 for an LSAT course - ugh money sucks...

Anyone have any suggestions on nice 18" rims for the coupe that would run me btwn 1500 and 1700 WITH Tires?

please let me know thanks!

Re: YESSSSSSSSSSS!

You can get a nearly un used set of factory 18" wheels, AND tires for around a grand. These wheels are relatively light at around 25 pounds each, easy to clean, with Infiniti center caps, and the correct Infiniti designed offset. Can't go wrong with the factory 18"s if money is an issue. Check the Parts/Accessories ads, there's about a set a week that you'll see.

Re: YESSSSSSSSSSS!

yea i was really thinking of doing that and maybe getting them chrome dipped which would maybe cost me 2000 total with nearly used rims and them dipped - which is a great price for those rims considering how light they are and how great the tires are - any other suggestions?

Re: YESSSSSSSSSSS!

If you're stuck on chrome, the factory wheel dipped isn't a bad route to go. Although technically, when you dip a wheel it alters the structural composition of the metal.....having said that, I've never heard of anyone's wheel failing because they dipped it.

If you plan on dipping it, find a set of four factory 18" wheels for around $800, plus $150 for shipping, then get em dipped for between $600-$900 and you've completed your mission for $1700 easy.

$800 is possible but they will have curb rash, but who cares since you're going to dip them anyway, right? $1100 plush shipping will get you rash-free wheels. Just be patient and watch the want ads.

Mine will be for sale (curb rashed in front) in a couple of weeks for instance when I step up to a lighter wheel (18 pound range).

One last thing to consider. I don't know if you have the tire pressure monitor system, but if you do, not all after market wheels are compatible with it.

Re: YESSSSSSSSSSS!

hmmm lol - yea i figured curb rashed rims wouldnt be bad cuz im gonna be dipping them.
Aside from going that route - or even getting perfect OEM 18's - are there any nice rims out there for around the 1500-1700 range? ive found some but dunno how performance will be
