Re: Help--power window doesn't work
More and more window issues lately. Sounds like the motor has burned out. You could try and battery disconnect, but I doubt it'll reset it.
Time for a trip to the dealer.

Re: Help--power window doesn't work
Kind of the same situation for me. Window goes up and down, but the drivers window does not retract 1/2 inch when the door opens. I have to push the window down with my hand and watch to see if the motor brings it back up when I close the door.
Did you check to see if the window lock button was depressed? Both windows will roll down with the key fob if the window lock feature is activated, but only the drivers window will roll up and down with the arm rest controls. Both windows can go up with the window lock enabled if you...
1. get out of the car,
2. close the drivers door,
3. put the key in the drivers door key hole
4. turn the key CW and hold it there for ~5-10 seconds

Nefster--thanks for the tip on the key in the driver's door. I let the car dry out a bit today and I think that water had infiltrated the window lock button and kept the passenger's window from working. When I lowered the windows with the key, it worked, and drying it out seems to have cleared up the problem with the lock button--everything works fine now. Thanks!

Re: Help--power window doesn't work
Not sure what this last post accomplishes, other than to make the author of it look silly. Maybe this sort of thing is what they're talking about in the "Problems with Couple Forum" thread?
I had a problem, got help, fixed problem, thanked someone for making a good-faith effort to help. You know, being civil. No need for juvenile comments. One of the reasons this forum has a chance to be a real service is that most people who can buy a G are adults--most, but not all, it seems.
Of course, anyone can post here whether they actually own a G or whether they just drive a hacked up Civic with a homemade spoiler and watermelon shooters . . .

Ehrpower,
I see you're a "Newbie" so I'll take it easy on you. The poster you're referring to (6MThavock or cryhavock) posts on several G35 message boards and lives about 4 hours from my house. We've IM'd back and forth many times and the guy was just kidding.
Think of it as "baptism by fire". Did you know I'm also the "Duke of Windshield Wipers"? See, no harm, no foul.
