Just a quick question
What's up fellas
My name is Jon, just joined the site. Good $hit! I spent the entire day pretty much reading posts and getting a little informed.
So I have a quick question. Last night I bought me a 2004 G35C 6MT with 43K miles and only paid 10K. The car is flawless. I'm pretty happy with the car...could use a little room but meh.
So my question! I was reading the differences between the DE motor and the HR motor. Not too many as I can tell, but still a good difference. Aside from intake or headers and a exhaust, is there anything that I can add to the car to make it match the HR?
I figure I'll spend about 2 grand, thats my budget. I just ordered a strut bar, hopefully I can get that FedExed real quick.
Thanks for the input guys!

Ahh really??
Well ****. I'm not looking to make the car a rocket, but a little bit more power would be pretty sweet!
Im thinking of an HKS exhaust. Seems a little pricey but nothing Capital One cant take care of

You got the deal of the century right there! You sure that thing doesn't have frame damage?

A MREV2 wont help you. If I were you id save the money and go with a supercharger. Your gonna spend 3k by doing exhaust, test pipes spacer intake and all that good stuff anyway and not see half the power of a blower.
thats even a better deal than what i got mine for.. i got mine for 10 also but mines an 03(6mt) w/o navi and aero kit..but other than that my car right now is a peach at 78k miles...i dont really race with it tho if i wanted to do that i would have bought an 01 camaro ss like i was going to do...but def a nice deal if its not salvage or anything....GL
I've spent a good amount of money in bolt on mods and I would agree that going FI is the way to go if you're looking for some real power gains. All the bolt on stuff will help a bit but really not worth the money IMO. But going FI cost way more than 3k to do it right and much more than just the turbo or supercharger kits. There is a lot to look into if you consider this option.

I didn't actually decide to get an Infiniti up until last week. I did my search through everything, and ended up finding a guy (early 60s) who had to sell it because he was filing for Bankruptcy. Hes also the original owner.
The car has never been in an accident. I ran a clean CarFax report on it. He handed me a manila folder with every receipt that he had spent money on the car. Every oil change (Mobil 1 synthetic). Brake pads AND rotors were replaced by the Infiniti dealer. Hes changed the transmission and gear oils recently (Amasoil [sp?]). Kept it garaged. Not a scratch, not a chip, nothing.
I even got a fully transfered 4yr/48K mile warranty!

I think I did pretty good for 10K! Signed over a nice cripsy Clear Title pink slip
