Question Grinding/clicking noise when going in to Park...

So I just now have 42000 miles on my 05 automatic. Lately I have been smeling a burning smell and cant seem to track it down. Im not sure if this is merely coincidence but the past 2 days that I pulled my car into the garage when I shift into park it clicks/grinds, like its trying to get into park but having issues doing so. Taking it into Infiniti today and the car is still under full warranty. Just curious if this has happened to anyone elese or if anyone has a clue what it could be?

Thanks!

They are telling me the smell is salt burning on the exhaust. I live in Ohio and we have had some major snow this year so I suppose this makes sense. Wont find out about clicking until next week...

Ugly trans noises....?

Any noises like grinding or clicking can't be a good sign with any
transmission time to put your warranty to work!

So they tell me my issues are just cold related. The tranny has only made that sound twice and no codes were thrown. It has been 0-10 degrees here lately and the extreme cold causes havoc, so they tell me...

They also said they have people coming in daily complianing about the smell from the salt burning. They say the coupes are the wors b/c they sit so close to the ground. Anyone else in snowy areas experience this?
