Exclamation can I remove my side sills?

guysss... is it possible for me to remove the sidesills on the exterior of the doors of my G35 coupe? I believe that they are part of a sport package that came with the car however I prefer the look of the car without them...

I'm not sure:

A) Ff I can take them off
B) Will there be paint underneath?, if there is paint will it match the color of the car that has been exposed?, holes?, etc. Or is it not possible to remove these things?

Any advice would be appreciated!

To be clear...

Same process as debadging..

Heat gun.

Dental floss them off.

Goo Gone to clean it and then youll probably need to wash the car and all that.

Molding not sills....scarey!

OMG, are you referring to the strips that run half why thru your doors? That's
called side molding....had me worried for a second! Do a search on Demoding,
it's the same process but you'll need fishing line (strength) and preferably
a heat gun....take your time!

thanks

thanks a lot for the help guys... but will i damage the car in doing this?... or will it look like i peeled the side molding off and be discolored due to the fact that it has been covered for 5 years or should it be ok if i just do it carefully and get a wash??

thanks for the correction on the name!... i wasn't sure.

You might need to have your car buffed after to reduce any ghosting

Youll be fine with taking it off. I just debadged my car last night and it looks fine. No outlines of letters or anything. Youll def need a heat gun tho.
