Looking for some Advice

Hey my name is Ian and I live in Lethbridge alberta. I bought an 04 OB coupe 6mt in november and now that the snow is starting to go I'm wondering what mods to start with. Anyways I have about 3 grand to put in the car at the moment and was thinking CAI and exhaust but if anyone has any advice I'd be more than happy to hear it

Thanks

I have heard motordyne spacer is the best bang for your buck. That's next on my mod list.

Hold up for just a bit and go turbo/supercharger.. Don't waste ur cash on a intake

3 grand to spend is a good chunk of cash.

definatly go s/c or turbo. intakes are way too expensive to only gain a couple hp and exhaust on these cars sound like complete d!ck.

You should check in with some of the other Alberta members.....
some of them are into serious mods.

WXP, you've just told 9/10 of the members of Driver their G35s sound like dick!
Good Job.... So much for your opinions!

Ian, no matter which way you go FI you'll need the spacer for your plunum,
that was one of Nissans design flaws. Check with Driver members in your
area and see what they've done and where....Good Luck and enjoy your '04!
Gary

I'm sorry but please don't go boost. Unless you have the ~10k to do everything right, and enough disposable income to fix any problems that WILL come up, whether it's sooner or later. Be smart!

with 3k i would get:
Coilovers
Sways
Plenum spacer
Exhaust!

just hold on to that 3 grand, supercharge it and u'll love the G more. Turbo is nice, but cost a little more unless u can install and tune yourself.

Alright, test pipes are huge power adders when it comes to FI.. Other than that they will free up some ponies, but your exhaust will sound like crap.. it will rasp so much. bleh.

Intakes are subjective, they either gain power or lose power.. Up to you.

As far as a manifold, I'd personally go with a Crawford plenum or the Kinetix SSV(meant for FI).

Exhaust is also subjective on sound/performance.. Look up some youtube videos.

When it all comes down to it, all G's pretty much sound alike.
