Nismo Exhaust, Good Deal?
I found a Nismo Weldina Exhaust for sale about a half hour from me in NC. The asking price is $675, and it's off of a 350Z. So I'll need to get the midpipe extension and most likely the tips extended.
I've been searching around on here and it seems that this exhaust has been discontinued. Compared to the new price of around 1700, this seems like a good deal on paper. But I also saw some old posts where you could buy this system new for around $900, I suppose when these were on closeout.
Considering I'll most likely have around $800 in this exhaust by the time I buy the midpipe extension and get the tips extended, I'm not quite sure if this is that great of a deal. I have listened to some sound clips on this exhaust and I do like the sound.
But considering I can get into a brand new exhaust for around 2-400 more, I'm not real sure what I should do. Of course, that savings will also buy me a plenum spacer.
I just wanted to see what everyone's thoughts were on this deal. I'm not sure what these are really worth considering they've been discontinued.

I have the exhaust on my car, but I ditched the y-pipe for the Motordyne XYZ pipe and I absolutely love the sound. It's nice at cruise and really screams at WOT.
You will need the midpipe extension, it's about $60 from mynismo.com. As for the tips, you really don't need to extend them. I haven't extended mine and I don't think I will. See my garage for a few pics. $675 + $60 for the midpipe extension isn't a bad deal.

Get the extension from Top Speed www.topspeedauto.com
If it's not on the website call them and talk to John or Aaron.

OP, just an FYI, the extension is 8" long. Anything shorter and the midpipe will rub on the crossmember and rattle anything and everything in your car...including teeth. I thought I'd go the "cheap" route and have a local shop make an extension. I told them it needed to be a minimum of 8" long, they made it 7.5" long. I said screw it, threw away the crappy one and bought one from mynismo. That half inch made a world of difference (THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID....sorry, I had to do it!).
