Need help with oil dipstick...
Re: Need help with oil dipstick...
let the car sit for a few mins. Pull the stick, then wait for about 30-45 secs (allowing the oil trapped by the stick in the tube to drain back), stick it again and you'll get a good reading.
Re: Need help with oil dipstick...
According to the technical manual, run to operating temp, shut engine off, wait 10 minutes, check it.
Ignore the extraneous oil that might be collected on the sides or outlying areas and focus on the hashed mark area.
When you reinsert the dipstick, keep it off the triangular Smegma Collector. When you pull it out, it helps to pull the ring slightly towards the drivers side and it should slide right out. Practice different angle techniques, you'll get it.
