Who's Painting their Calipers next??
Just because someone paints their brakes red doesn't mean they are trying to make it look like a BBK. Perhaps they just like the color scheme and/or contrast.
Chastising someone for painting their brakes red calling them pretenders for wanting to make it look like a BBK... That's like chastising someone for buying an exhaust calling them a pretender, and saying if they want their car to sound like it has a V8, then just buy a car with a V8.

Umm, not quite. Certain exhaust systems have been dyno proven to gain power. Painting calipers red has never been proven to stop your car any quicker. If it somehow has then I must have missed that article and I need to go back to engineering school again.
The factory calipers are a greyish color anyway, which is why myself and many others have re-painted them silver. It's just cleaning them up more than anything.
Or I could spin it the other way... So what if an exhaust improves performance slightly? If you want your car to perform better, you should have just bought a better performing car...
no, I love my G. There isn't another car sub $45k that I would trade it for.
To each their own, I'm not going to say you are wrong, but to be truthful we could argue for hours....nothing wrong with our opinions. That's what makes us individuals and what we do to our cars somewhat reflects us.

These are all opinions, just read and learn....or not!
HAHA, we all have our own opinions and that works for me. The reason I
painted my calipers was to make them disappear so the focus would be only
on my wheels. The same theory applies under the hood too, I would never
install colored hoses because that's not where I want the focus to be....understand? But this is just my opinion....

^ well said.
I only painted my calipers because well not only did it match the car (that wasnt the reason), but because I didn't like th faded-ish color from the factory. it just turns out my color blends in real well with my factory color as well as the rims.

I also painted all the ugly olive-drab green brackets in my engine bay. I took each of them off, sanded them down, and painted them a dark graphite...almost the same color of my car. Now, if I were to paint them red, I dunno, it's just too drastic of a change.
Again, I only painted my calipers silver because the factory color needed some refinishing to say the least. Hopefully a G37s BBK is in my future!

G35 Coupe "Sport Package"
Ro_Ja R25 by Rays. it is an old Gram Lights design that was re-marketed under Ro_Ja. they are in carbon black which is basically the same as the Volk diamond black. 19x9.5 +19, 19x10.5 +19. as aggressive as I would want to go. sit just like the Volk GTS.
