Replacement leather boot

Has anyone ever replaced the leather boot on a 6MT? It appears that the leather boot just screws into the titanium trim on the underside of the trim. I punctured a little hole in my boot and might want to get it fixed. I have replaced my gearshift **** so I know how to change it out, just want to know the part number and price.

Thanks a lot!

Re: Replacement leather boot

It's a PITA for an aftermarket boot!! I decided to get the Momo Boot that threaded into the Momo **** I got. It has a nice clean look and all but you cut a lot of the boot to make it fit the short throw. The collar ring on the underside of the center council is easy to take apart. Just make sure you trim you new boot carefully.

For a stock one . . . I can not help you on the part # or price. In comparison I would definitely go for an aftermarket boot. The material is usually much better / thicker than stock. For that alone was enough for me to try to make it work.

Check out my pics for a better look at the boot.

Hope that helps.

I like courtesyparts.com myself.

I can't seem to find the part number. It's Easy to install once you get the **** off.

Re: Replacement leather boot

I went to Infiniti to purchase a new shift boot to find out that it only comes already installed on a new center console. The price was around $15 - $20 complete. The new console fits better than the one that came with my car. Another place to purchase a "boot only" is from: Redlinegoods.com I did this also. Great quality leather with all the holes punched out for the console ring. You need to keep the collar from your original boot and install it to that new one. Hope this helps.
