Window Recall Fix= Damaged Tint$$$$
Window Recall Fix= Damaged Tint$$$$
After my dealer did the fix, I commented to them about a few rips near the driver mirror. Advisor kind of said, gee, it's unavoidable. I am not a ***** who always tries to get paid, esp. after I just got the car. The tint is way to dark anyways, so I was going to go without it by winter. Car has 7k, tinted by 1st owner.
Just an alert for everyone, and should I weasel a good retinting price out of it? 40% is ok for winter as far as I'm concerned, I am downright blind at night with the current tint.

Me at Infiniti Dealer-"I'm doubleparked in my Gc,I need some brochures." As I walk out, they ask if I bought my car there. I respond, "I tried to, unfortunately!!"

Re: Window Recall Fix= Damaged Tint$$$$
Any decent dealer WILL NOT damage the tint when performing the grease streak TSB. I had mine done and there was no damage to my tint. I would go back and demand money to have the tint fixed. Just my 2 cents.

Re: Window Recall Fix= Damaged Tint$$$$
If they damaged it they should pay to fix it. Especially if your service writer does not inform you of the potential to damage the tint BEFORE they do the work.
