Broken into at the movies :(
i was at the movie grill in plano... the mest up part of it all was the only thing they could see was my radar. i have 5 percent on everything but the windshield... everything was in the trunk
Why the picture man? These low life scum bag don't deserve to live in this country man. Just shoot them all, wasting my tax money just to put them in jail. Or at least do like those communist countries, send them to an island or cold mountain and have them work in plantations and only deserve decent meal if work hard enough. Who cares about civil rights, they already lost their.
that is absolutely ridiculous that people like that already exist, sadly that's just the way how society is turning into right now. however I do firmly believe there is still some good in this world. I am outraged that they ripped up your picture, not to mention all the other things taken from your vehicle.
I hope that one day this person(s) gets caught. Karma is a real b!tch and I am a firm believer in that.
My sincerest condolences..

Hey Knight..
Sorry to hear about the break in. It happened to me on thanksgiving a few years back (not in the G, thank God) and I got my indash system taken along with a few other things.
I don't know how the insurance works in TX, but in MA (at the time) the policy is that everything that is not "part of the car", ie bolted on, was on my homeowner/renter's policy like 06g35meister said.
However, everything that was bolted on the car and/or was part of the car, like the entire stereo system, was covered and they paid me the replacement cost for the exact same system.
The only condition is that I needed to have the comprehensive (thefts/vandalism) coverage (which any G owner should have
). I know it's not much but it might help.
Good luck.
Ollie
PS: The window replacement should also be free if you have the comprehensive coverage.

Dang man... same thing happened to me at a State Football Game a couple years back (before I had the G).. i feel your pain... I'm a photographer w/ kids and they're my favorite subjects as well. I REALLY would lose it if that was the only shot I had of my kid like that.. The material stuff can be replaced, but it's the feeling of being violated that's hard to get over.
Keep your head up, don't change your persona for a couple of cowards.. They'll get theirs..

Sorry to hear the story bud...Stories like these are why it takes me that extra sixty seconds to unplug the V1, ScanGauge and GPS from the window every time I'm leaving the G.
Worse that they probably broke in just to make $150 on your detector...must have been like Christmas morning for them when they popped your trunk...unbelievable.
No need to worry though, as either your car or your homeowner's insurance will cover that stuff...and truth-be-told, they usually give you enough dough to buy nicer things than the things you lost!
I suggest using a digital camera (which you can take to WalMart to print) and back up your important pictures online somewhere (email them to yourself at the very least) or use one of many free picture sites, that way you never have to worry about losing all that stuff!

that sucks man, i hate hearing about stuff like this.
Also, I would contact the theater security and see if they can help any. Most theaters have outdoor survelience so they might be able to see what kind of car they were driving or something to catch them. The amount of stuff they took out of your car is probably considered a felony so they might take it seriously and help you. It doesnt hurt to try and find out if they caught it on tape.
