work vsxx...to change or not to change

Hey everyone I'm writing this because I would like your opinions on what I might do with my rims. I currently have some 20x9.5 and 20x10.5 work vsxx that have polished lips and are in gold. I own a caribbean blue g35 and im thinking about switching it up. What do you guys think about the possibility of me powdercoating or painting the lips flat black and powdercoating or painting the spokes gloss gunmetal? Am I crazy and gonna ruin a good thing or do you think it would look good?

First it would Really help if you had pic of your G. In my opinion I'd
never have black wheel on a CB G35. Those gold Works wheels are such
beautiful wheels and they go with all the dark colors blacks & blues changing
them might be a major mistake. What might look good would be to
have the centers powdercoated the same color as your G...CB. I say, no way to black or gunmetal....my opinion!
You're not nuts, possibley bored with what you have on. But think about what you posted, black lips with gm centers....

Leave'em alone or do this....!

DMX, here's a example of what I first posted about doing the centers
CB. My buddy Vik had his wheels done in a similar fashion, check out
solopresidents album and the pic of his G37.

nah cant go wrong with gold on CB, its golden, flat black on CB looks ricey, you wont know the types of wheels until you look close to it, At the end of the day "black wheels" are too common in general thats my 2 cents

Go with black or gunmetal face, and keep the polished lips.

hey guys thanks for all the responses with ur opinions. I love my rims so I dont think I will be trading lol. Heres some crappy cell phone pics of my wheels...i know i know i need a drop...

Gary i like your friends g37 wheels but i think black is still the way to go for me?

Did any of you check out tommyz9's T1's in black? Those are hot. Thats exactly what im going after except with my vs-xx's.

tommyz9 I think it said you powdercoated them. Did you take the wheel apart and powdercoat the lip and center seperate or did you powdercoat everything all together?

Hmm...my minds tellin me no...but my bodys tellin me yes lol

i think you should powder coat them black, the polished lip stand out too much with the color of the car
