2004 Corvette instead of a G35 Sport Coupe

I'm considering getting a Corvette Coupe instead of a G35 Sport Coupe. The local GM dealer is offering $9000 off sticker and free tire changes for life (required servicing at GM dealership). More power, better value, and cooler features (heads up display, polished wheels, translucent removable roof) than a G35 SC and the dealers aren't as big of p*icks as the Infiniti dealers I've been to.

So what was the point of coming to this forum and posting this mambo jambo here?

Wow ! 9000$ off MSRP, that should tell you something....

Good luck with your CHEVROLET !

I'd take a new vette over a new G35 coupe if they were the same price.

2 different cars. Corvette is a 2 seater, bigger engine and more expensive. If money is no object, go for it. I am sure a lot of us would love to own a Z06 but they are not in our budgets.

Re: 2004 Corvette instead of a G35 Sport Coupe

why "yeah right?"

BMW offers free oil changes for their cars, which should cost something like 50 bucks a pop......

the 04 corvette is trying to get pushed out of the showroom to make room for the 05, so they'll do anything to get rid of them.....i dont think its that far fetched.....

Considering the tire size/price of a corvettes tires, I would say thats a great deal,................9,000 off plus free tires after making doughnuts each month.....who wouldn't buy one?

I have in the past owned four corvettes, and as nice as they are....I think the G is still more refined and a better bang for the buck......

I have owned two vets in the past and would agree the G35 is a better car.

That's tempting. If it were an 05 it would be a no brainer however.
Keep in mind that most American car dealerships get money for just moving the car off the lot.

GR8TG35, I don't think he meant that he will get the tires for free. I think what he meant was that they would do the tire change (installation) for free. No dealer will give you tires for free for life. No way, no how.

Yeah, free tires or free tire rotations? I can believe free rotations but not free tires for life

Is the redesigned vette coming in '05 or '06. You could end up with an "old body style" ride before you know it. Granted it doesn't matter to some people, but to some it matters alot.

Re: 2004 Corvette instead of a G35 Sport Coupe

So with 9K off, how much are you looking to pay?

Awesome sports car, I was actually dissapointed with the features and outdated looking controls (not like you buy a vette for this reason anyways)... But the last one I drove was a new 2k2, so I'm sure things have changed.

Re: 2004 Corvette instead of a G35 Sport Coupe

I would have to agree with most of everyone here. Of course its faster, more powerfull bla, bla but the new body style is coming out and its a regular vette. Go for a Z06 if you;re staying with the old body style, 9k is a lot off though. Sound's good, your choice seems already completed but rethink it, maybe get an M3 instead used, those could beat and give vette's a good run. I love those M's
