The first GT-R Skyline appeared in February 1969.[3] Called the PGC-10 (KPGC-10 for later coupé version) internally and Hakosuka (ハコスカ) by fans. Hako (ハコ) means Box in Japanese, and suka（スカ） is short for Skyline (スカイライン; Sukairain). It used the 2.0 L (1998 cc) S20 I6. This new DOHC engine produced 160 hp (118 kW, 180 N m), equal to the best sports cars of the time, and was similar to the GR8 engine used in the Nissan R380 racing car.
The GT-R began as a sedan, but a 2-door coupé version was introduced in March 1971. The cars were stripped of unnecessary equipment to be as light as possible for racing, and performed well at the track. The sedan racked up 33 victories in less than two years, and the coupé stretched this to 50 through 1972.[3]
The C10 raced against many cars including the Toyota 1600 GT5, Isuzu Bellett GTR, Mazda Familia (R100) & Capella (RX-2) - even Porsche. In late 1971 the new Mazda RX-3 became the GT-R's main rival. The GT-R managed a few more victories before the RX-3 ended the GT-R's winning streak. The GT-R was also a favorite of reckless street racers who roamed the streets at night at that time.

still not showing proof of where its called a skyline.....the others were i already said that they were labeled as Skyline GTR's....this new one is simply a GTR R35 but has yet to take the title of Skyline here in the states as it never will....ur missing the point of america never selling skylines but a GTR is approved....and its not really a true successor to the R34 as that had much more potential then current GTR, not only did it weigh less it didnt come off the factory tuned to perfection this new one is like the ZR-1 vette why bother messing with in most likely ull Eff it up

Yep, and the word "Infiniti" and name "G35" were also put on the car in Japan.

nobody read the post or site i posted 
....it says on ur engine build plate Nissan it also states where the car was assembled or built in JAPAN, it was shipped over and then the parts we know as G35 are there
im the moron..?? clearly avoided the topic of how the GTR isnt a skyline i see....im not arguing the fact that its a G35 NOW but it was assembled in japan AND is a KNOCK off of the 350GT not the other way around as everyone keeps implying

Your car is not what you are trying to make it. It is an 2004 and you are trying to make people think it's an exotic. It's not. If you had the money to buy an exotic you would have and not tried to put make up on your car. But the biggest problem with this whole situation is that the people you are trying to impress with some stickers either: a.) Notice that your car is an 2004 & with the stickers think it's an old Nissan or b.) are educated car enthusiasts and know it is a car with stickers. You are not impressing anyone especially the people that you are trying to impress.
But, if you like it, enjoy it and just stop bragging about your stickers, it makes you look like a fool.

i see they made 'em retarded back in 86.....i said the G35 is a Knock off of the 350GT....the V35 was built in japan as an INF-which is epic fail since everyone states its not JDM yet it clearly is just imported here with new name but the platform is still known as V35 skyline....not as the G platform

yea either way ppl in here swear up and down i must go walkin around and just randomly say "o yea, i drive a skyline"....dude came into work today askin about my car and was like thats a nice G35 u got there what all u got done to it.....never skipped a beat wasnt like nice fake skyline or some other ****.....he drives maxima so im sure he knows about JDM craze....long story short ppl who know usually DONT CARE....ppl all have diff tastes and its reflected in there modding styles

Your giving **** to people that are just trying to make you realize the reality. No matter how much you change your car.. or what mods you do.. it will always be a G35 on paper. Go study your title and see what it says. Once you figure that out.. it will all make sense. Your obviously not going to win this. Once you have your mods catch up with you boost gauges and your skyline badges.. maybe people wont talk as much. Maybe..
