Re: dealers and mods

No warranty voids.. only if something fails in the car and they link it to the mod, then your warranty voids. If there is no link of cause of mod to failure, then they have to fix /replace it.

It really depends on the dealer. Most of them wont say anything about it or might just warn you of the possibility. Just go, they prob wont even recognize lol.

We have the SolarGard tint 50 front, and i forgot the other percentage. But when we brought it to the dealer, the guy was like , "DAMN that is so illegal, but it looks DAMN good!" So i guess it's the person, some will frown upon it. Some will give you a hard time.

My dealer was totally cool about the Z tube and Pop charger. I suggest you calling them (without identifying yourself) and ask them what's their stand on mods. If they give you hard time, try another dealer in your area. If you can't find one, just remove it, have the oil changed and put it back on.
Although, if you ask me, it's unnecessary, as the dealer has no right to void your warranty based on just having an aftermarket intake.

first of you taking a car for an OIL CHANGE.... there is no reason why any waranty questions should come into play. Unless the dealer is really sketchy then they will try and pull a fast one on you.

Like others stated... if the dealer says anything... just tell them to shut their PIE HOLE...and to do the work you asked them to do.

Mods should have no effect on waranty unless you actually claim something... or there is something wrong with the car. Buddy ... you can soo easily take them to court for that and the law will be on your side all the way.

SEMA doesnt like dealers frowning upone stuff like that. Its a law and dealers cant brake it. JUST be confident about it.
