A dude I know just picked up a G Coupe.

I realized that it didn't have projectors, new tails etc.. So I said what year is it? 04-05? He then says it's an 06.

I said uhh, no it doesnt have projectors etc...
He said well Infiniti works that way with there 1/2 year release. I have a 2003.5 Sedan, no doggy door, its a major difference from a 2003.


So what is the scoop? I have never heard of this.
If this is true, his "06" sucks. lol

 

what does his production date on the side sticker say?

as far as i know all 06s have projecters and the newer tails.unless someone downgraded it..and the dealer didnt notice...when it was traded in.

also maybe ur friend got the wrong info.
it might be an assed out 06 that caught the last of the 2005.5...interesting none the less

I should tell him to run his VIN and see what happens. I personally have never heard of this myself..

 

look at the inteior, id it plastic finish or brushed al.

 

check the center clock, if the clock is inside the screen in the upper part of the dash then it's 05-06, also look for the bubble in the tails.

 

That would suck if it is indeed a 06 with the 02 head and taillights. If so, whoever owned the car before him got smart and traded with someone for a little extra cash. Therefore your friend would have been.....owned.

 

+1. Easiest way for your friend to tell which model year it is.

 

check if it has bluetooth or memory seat buttons on the side of the seats. only the 06+ coupes have these.

projectors and taillights can be switched out, but these can't...

 

I think the guy is full off..

That changed in 2005, not 2006.

2005's have better interior but still no projectors.
