Hi everyone im new but dont have a g yet

Hi everyone, ive been looking at the g35 coupe for a while now, and have a few doubts on it. I recently hit a patch of black ive on my evo, and it spun out hitting a fence and insurance wrote it off. im wanted another evo, but my mom is afraid for me cause i could have died if the car started rolling(no side airbags), and she lost 2 sons already. my question is what should i look for when buying the coupe? i want the 6mt one. will it feel like my old evo in terms of performance? my old evo was stock running 19 lbs, so they avrege around 250 wtq/whp.

RWD has a completely different feel from AWD. The power is similar but the delivery is boost reliant on EVO and more steady with NA V6. Evo overall pulls on the G35. RWD on black ice is more unsteady than AWD. Racecar=EVO, Daily Driver=G35. Safer=G35. If you live in ice/snow, consider AWD with snow tires.

None. Same power, the G has slightly more weight but is also MUCH nicer on the inside and seats 4.

G's run about ~230rwhp/235tq on a Dynojet, which is the lowest reading one there is(I think, but that seems to be the standard around here.) If ypu do it on a different dyno, it's like 270rwhp.

G's pretty good plenty of airbags to save you in case of an accident I remember seing a post on here of some guy that lost control on ice I think and hit a tree and lived to tell about it. So the G is much safer.

Plenty of "I wrecked my G threads" with guys saying they are getting another one because of how safe it is. You'll notice a couple big differences with your old Evo and a G. G coupes doors are very heavy to protect the driver and passenger. Plenty of Airbags and a lot nicer interior then your Evo. You probably wont get the reaction on the road from others you did with the G but still is a very sleek nice looking car. Evo gets a lot more attention then a G. Although with mods you can change that. The answers you will get on this forum will most likely be guys telling you to get a G but that shouldn't surprise you. Whatever you do good luck bro atleast your alright after the accident.

Not true.
The Z has more power to the wheel than the G.
A stock Z which comes with carbon drive shaft usually makes 250ish whp due to lesser drivetrain lost.

Also dyno jet gives the highest number.
If you do the G on a different dyno like Mustang Dyno or Dyno Dynamic (Both are heart breakers) it makes about 200ish whp only.

The G is also 200+lb heavier than the Z.

Correct. The G only makes around 200ish whp. An Evo is much faster than a G35 so prepare for that.

Wrong... where are you getting this information?

I didn't know about the CF driveshaft.

Dynojet does not give the highest number. I know the Mustang Dyno is really low reading dyno, didn't know about the Dyno Dynamic, but there are much higher reading dyno's out there than the Dyno Jet, and I haven't seen anything lower than a dynojet that a G had been run on.

Then you should see how cars runs on Dyno Dynamic and Mustang Dyno.
They both has lower number than Dyno Jet.
There is the Dyno Pack which do the dyno by taking off the wheel but a lot of people said that's not accurate at all.
Dyno Jet is one of the highest if not THE highest one.

Well thanks for clearing everything up. You learn something new everyday

I'll be sure to take more notice of what dyno's people are using in the future.

If you go on autotrader, you can search for coupes and manual only. The manual option is under "More search critera"

Hope this helps.
