i may have an aftermarket short throw shifter but IDK. just wandering do you guys have to press hard right before going up or down into 5th and 6th gear. putting it in 5th gear on mine feels like going into reverse on a standard 5 speed. its not a clean up and over shift.

 

I don't notice a difference in the 4-5 or the 5-6 shift. Next time your driving, see if it goes in easier if you don't push the lever all the way to the right first (just keep it 1/4 to 1/2 inch away from all the way to the right and then go into 5th). If it is easier, there's an adjustment under the shift boot for that. It's used for the reverse lockout system. I had to make that adjustment when putting in my Rogue short throw shifter.
