hey guys im lookin at a 03 g35 thats from an infiniti dealer ship and it comes witha turbo and after market exhuast.
my question is will it pass inspection, im in north new jersey and not to sure about the requriements
i mean i had a civic with an exhaust and it passed and they didnt even pop the hood so idk
if anyone could give me some feedback that would be great

 

Im do not know the laws in NJ but in MD as long as it has cats and no cel it will pass.

 

Wouldn't it have to pass inspection before a "dealership" could sell it, that's the way it works here in my neighboor hood....

your fine. if you buy it from a dealership with a turbo then your fine. as a dealership its there fault if you have any problems with it, so i wouldnt worry about it. id feel alot safer buying a g with a turbo from a dealership then private party. unless they try to sell it to you "as is" then id say **** it. Never buy "as is" haha we just sold a used car a jeep with a lift kit, when you hit the brakes it goes sideways. rotors are ****ed up and pads are at 1mm.

 

As long as you're not taking the car out of state, it probably already has a valid inspection on it. Ask the dealer.

 

I get my car inspected in NJ and I say that if it has no CEL then it should pass. NJ emissions is just a simple OBD scan and if no codes are present then they slap a sticker on. They don't even pop the hood.

 

so im guessing i can run a turbo and still pass emissions .. ive been thinking long and hard to see if i should or go supercharged to keep is legal.
