CF Hood on LR coupe???

Does anyone have pics of CF hoods on a LR coupe???

Reason I'm asking is because we had a hail storm not to long ago and I got caught out in it, well one of the hail stones hit my hood and cracked my paint and the insurance company is paying to have it redone and painted but I think it would be cheaper to buy a CF hood for it....

I'm completely stock besides 20" Sevas S55's plan on getting data replica r-spec grille(LR) or CF Gialla Grille to keep the CF flowing and front lip(LR)... Do you think a CF hood would look good on a car with so little exterior mods planning on the Seibon JS? Should I just get hood fixed and not worrie about it? Any thoughts or pics would help thanks guys...

Search...I guarantee there are tons of pictures on here that you're looking for because I've seen them before.'

Since you're somewhat asking for opinions though, I'll give you mine. I love CF, but you have to do it right. Too much is no good, but too little doesn't flow well at all. I have LR as well and I think what would look best is a CF hood, CF trunk (no spoiler) and possibly a the CF Gialla you mentioned. Please don't do the lip too, it's too much...the OEM lip would look great just keep LR though.

Another word of advice would be to get Carbon Craft mirror covers...they're about $95 and they look great, they flow really well with CF. GL

Ah yes, C/F and a LR coupe needs to be done with good taste and care. The only ones that look "Great" have been painted body color and the vents painted semi-gloss black/flat black. Leaving the hood C/F with LR looks bad because of the major contrast between the colors, same is true with most colors except OB. Although I still like to see them painted body color....
Check RedskylineGTs garage you'll see what quality and the job done right looks like!

Yea I was planning on doing like the hood, grille, and mirrors... I think it will be enough to flow good but not too much on a fairly stock G...

BTW what do you mean by painting it body color? Get the CF hood and paint it LR is that what you mean? Wouldn't that be defeating the point of getting CF unless you were just wanting to reduce weight?

Also I wasn't planning on doing a CF lip thats why it has LR in () beside the lip part... I just want the grille, hood, and mirrors in CF.

He means painting the CF pieces LR. His opinion seems to be that LR doesn't look good with CF, and we're all entitled to our own opinions. What I told you is to go with CF...and I would leave it the way it is. Again, it has to be right. Just putting a trunk or a hood on a car looks like crap, it has to flow with the overall exterior.

Another thing I would also consider that I forgot to mention is CF eyelids...I think eyelids make our cars look so much better. Again, GL.

Yea I was also seeing the eyelids they do look good.

I would like something like this I know he has some of the hood painted I would leave it all CF w/eyelids but I love the way his hood flows directly into grille...

Also what do you guys think about the stock 18's made to look like Time Attacks? Dumb? To small? To many spokes?

I think the cf hood would look good if you do a trunk or roof or both. I dont realy like just a cf hood.

The wheels are....... ok, not me but ok. I might do the red strip smaller imo.

You can't be serious, "Sexy?" It just looks incomplete/unfinished!
If this person had purchased the right C/F hood with vents it might have had a purpose....(removing hot air from the engine compartment)

That car looks great. How does it look incomplete OR unfinished? I very much doubt that car has many performance upgrades, it's just visual and it looks good. How much performance gain do you really think he would be getting by venting the hood? The "right" hood? That's like saying the "right" wheels. We all have different opinions and everyone else that's posted in this thread agrees that that car looks great.
