Re: free courtesy car?

Not at my place. They just make it difficult to get a loaner. Usually have to set up an appointment 2 weeks in advance and it has to be for something major, ie., not an oil change.
My dealer is Atlantic in NY, but I am not liking their service. When I did get a loaner, I didn't have to pay anything. If I did, $5 seems reasonable to not have to wait there. Then again, I see your point, after spending 35K on a car, and paying damn close to sticker at the minimum, I wouldn't want to give them any more $$ either.

Re: free courtesy car?

At my dealership loaners are always free and they always give it to me with a full tank of gas. They ask that when you return it that you fill it up or they charge you a fee based on where the needle is.

Charge of $5? Oh come on! They should just waive the fee.

I'm driving a courtesy car right now. It came with 1/4 tank of gas and I wasn't told to add any or pay anything.

Re: free courtesy car?

yeah, it depends on your dealer. mine doesn't charge anything, doesn't ask to re-fill the tank, and will give me a loaner for something as quick as an oil change. but, usually, i have to wait a few days for a loaner.

i've read about other dealers charging a "fee" of about $2-$10. and some just aren't allowed a loaner unless their car requires at least 2 hours warranty work or service done. be glad if you're not one of those.

[b]Competition Infiniti gives loaners by appointment. I had a loaner all day and all I got was an oil change. No charge, no restictions, no questions asked.
