I'd never drive an econo-box for the extra 8 mpg... I didn't buy my G to save money, OR gas!

Seriously, when that light turns green saving gas is the LAST thing on my mind

You pretty much have to go about 50-55 MPH in 6th gear to get 30 MPG in this car on the highway.... so, for the original poster, don't expect to see 30 MPG.... it's more like 22 to 24 MPG on the highway at 65-75 MPH.

G35 is a fun car to drive.

My biggest things to like about it are these:

-Looks
-Exhaust Note
-Decent torque and mid-range power
-6 Speed Manual Tranny instead of 5-Speed
-Brembo Brakes(only on '03 and '04 6MT's)
-Rear Wheel Drive
-Decent Looking Interior with Leather Seats
-Pretty good handling
-Pretty good factory powertrain warranty

Cons:
-Paint sucks *** and is easily chipped/scratched
-Gas Mileage is not that good
-Expensive to buy parts and upgrades
-Bose Sound system is not that great
-Car looks faster than it is, and it the '03/'04's aren't that impressive in the high RPM's(over 5500 RPM).

^i can get ~28mpg on the freeway without too much trouble just cruising at like 75 in 6th gear. if you are slowing down and speeding up constantly sure you wont get that much. or if you feel the need to just cruise down the highway at like 4k or 5k rpms of course you arent gonna get that great of gas mileage, but why would you need to cruise at such high rpms anyway?

I agree... I was choosing between G35 and S2K
Finally I choose my G
Yes, S2K, cheap, beautiful, fast, gas saver, Drift
However, the interior is totally a civic with a pair of crappy leather seat.
G35 offered me a luxury feeling, which Acura RSX and Honda couldn't give you
by the way, i am a big honda fans 2, F20C vtec is really wonderful

Actually to be honest 70-75 mph at 2200-2500 rpms. I was headed up to BUffalo, NY to see a band (Brand New) play. I was amazed at the gas I was using.

If you're a normal driver though, expect low-mid 20's WHICH STILL ISN'T BAD FOR THIS CAR!

first what is the use of your car. if you want to build a fast drag car id say stay with the honda, if your looking for a fun good looking daily get a g.

my other car is a integra with a fully built gsr engine in it, now that car is fun to drive, handles pretty well, fast, looks good. but running a stage 5 clutch and near solid motor mounts makes it very uncomfortable to drive.

i bought y g as a daily, and fell in love right away, the low end power is great, the ride is awsome, interior is comfortable, so now i have decided to part out my integra and make it stock for a daily and now i modding the g. but yes you will parts cost goes up, but i think its so much more woth it to not have to drive around a little rattle box lol

things i dont like about the g
has the big car feel, always like hoe small the teg felt
six speed, have to shift to much lol
and my pass window motor went out lol

also age is a big thing for me, im not old 23, but the teg feel like a highshcoolers car to me, and its nice to upgrade to something better and nicer, you get more respect from others on the road, you dont get harrassed by the cops, and for me, growing up in the area i did, its nice to know iv made something out of my self to have such a car, most my old school friends are driving around 80s boats lol

hopefully my rambling will help out out and not confuse you to death lol

it's nice to know I have at least one thing going good in my life.
