new G owner

Hey everybody, I'm a new G owner, just got rid of my 99 civic si and bought myself an 05 G35 coupe, 30 000 miles, perfect condition and maintained perfectly, paid quite a bit but bought it from infiniti and the car is mint. I love it so much, never want to drive anything else. Just wondering if there is anything anybody recommends i do maintenance wise, i"ve never owned a nice car like this and i only have warranty for like another 7 months so want to take advantage of that. Let me know and thanks in advance, cheers.

Search your owner's manual. You read it, right?
Search the website. There's so much info.
You read through the sticky's, I'm sure. (go do that)
And remember, Google is your friend. So are we, welcome to the forum. I'm glad you like the g.

nice ride! im a new owner, too. i would say lay off the real heavy modding until your warranty is up, that way you can take advantage of it for maintenance purposes. once its up, well, all bets are off. dont you love those wheels!?!? theyre forged, btw.

Hi guys,

As you can see from the thread I have an 05 2dr coupe.

Now I still lived at home last winter so i was able to put it away for the winter. I now have my own house and don't have the luxury of putting it away and driving my parents cars. I need tires badly as we do get quite a bit of snow where I live.

Most placed that i've seen are asking like $400 per tire for snows.

So i found a set that was only used for 1 winter, look in good shape and the guy wants $500 total, 4 tires no rims, 1 winter season on them.

Sizes;
225/45/R19
245/40R19

Will these fit my car first of all and secondly since I didn't drive it last year, will winters even make a difference or is this car really not meant to be driven in the snow. Thanks for youe help!

definitely check for oil consumption problems, axle clicking, etc. should be able to find it all on this forum. My warranty is up soon and I've had the oil consumption problem taken care of with a long block replacement (mad expensive if out of warranty). Still need to take my baby in to have the axle clicking taken care of though! (and yes I know there are threads on here explaining how to take care of it yourself, but why bother when it's covered under warranty :P)
