Front Plates (different angle)

Can/should/would you get pulled over for no front plates if you don't even have your plates from the DMV yet? I just took off my front plate holder. Now I gotta find something to fix the two holes up there...

Re: Front Plates (different angle)

i got my plates a couple days ago. I was going to put them on today until I read that holes must be drilled into the bumper.

You can go to bumperplugs.com which sells plugs for the holes drilled into the bumpers. They mostly deal with Porche's, but a license plate hole is a license plate hole. The only thing you may want to do is color match the plugs for your car instead of whatever color the porche's come in. If you don't already have holes drilled, you can get a license plate bracket that screws into the tow hook connector hidden behind the plug on the front bumper. You could find these at Stillen and Strictly Z.

if you dont have your plates from DMV yet you must have the temp thing in your windshield, passenger side... that is legal until you get your plates...

Re: Front Plates (different angle)

i have MD plates but hardly ever drive in the state...so i never put my front plate on. i know there is (or used to be) a law that said if theres no factory front license plate holder (usually on sports cars) then you don't need to put it on. and with our g's, it doesnt come factory with the holder there already, they have to drill through the bumper and put it on. luckily i stopped my dealer before he went on and did this. and in my opinion it looks 400 times better without a front plate.

so good luck with the po-po..lol
