My Tragedy

Well.....My G is gone..but thats the least of my problems...Friday night, my house caught on fire, starting in the garaage, and spreading to the whole house....everyone in my family got out ok, thank God, but we lost everything...my car was parked right outside the garage, and now it is TOASTED...I dont have any pictures yet, cause well..i dont have a computer to upload them on....This whole situation sucks but the initial shock is slowly passing.... Finally got a chance to get online, and decided to post and fill everyone in...

as far as what car i'm getting next...we'll see what insurance has to say, and I'll go from there....thats on the bottom of my list of worries right now though...Thanks for all the help and everything else to everyone on these forums...for the 9 months i had this car, it was a wealth of information.....I'm thinking maybe another G, but I might want to just get something totally different...for a "fresh start" if u will.....who knows...
well..thats about it...my family is ok..and thats the main thing...everything else can be rebuilt and purchased again...
just wanted to fill everyone in......

FYI...my house and my car pre-fire is in my signature pic.....

take care everyone.....

Re: My Tragedy

Damn, Mitch, so sorry to hear of the fire. Thank God no-one was hurt. Replacing houses, cars and belongings is easy-- People-- that's different.
It's a hell of an ordeal which I've witnessed many times, but you're young and strong and you'll bounce back quickly.

Hope you make out alright with accomodation until you can arrange new digs.
Keep us in the loop, and God speed.

Re: My Tragedy

Real sorry to hear what has happened....good thing is your family is safe and intact.....like someone else said the material things in your life can be compensated, your family on the other hand is another story.....

If you liked the G, get another, or maybe the M45. Just take your time and make your decision..
once again sorry to hear the news, and GOOD LUCK in your life and future car plans..

Im glad that you and your family got out ok. The house and car can be replaced. But seeing that car go out in flames puts a tear to my eye.

Re: My Tragedy

Sorry to hear about your recent tragedy. It's been said before, and I'll say it again: At least your family is together. It seems you have the same perspective, and that's great to see.

A friend's house burned down not too long ago, and the father stepped up to his wife and said, "Well honey, I knew you wanted to redecorate the bathroom, but this was a little drastic to get your point across". Keep a smile on your face as you go through the trouble of rebuilding, as you know you've always got backup. All the best,

G

Re: My Tragedy

Sorry for your loss. Thankfully everyone's okay. It's the memories like pictures, etc. that are hard to replace, so hopefully, you have some that are safe.

Any idea how it started?

Re: My Tragedy

I can't even imagine what you and your family is going through right now. I am deeply saddened by your loss. I hope that you can get back up on your feet, and start from a new beginning. "Material" things can be replaced. And, thank the man upstairs that your family is still "one." Good Luck!

Re: My Tragedy

sorry about your loss, it must be really tough. everyone says it, but as long as you and your family made it out, everything else for the most part can be reaquired.

as it says in the holy books, whoever has a rough tough in this life, will have it easier in the world to come. think of it as getting a new house, new furniture. yes, you'll miss personal items, but life goes on.

wish you the best

Re: My Tragedy

wow mitch i'm really sorry to hear that. thats really a terrible thing to happen to anyone, but of course you and your family didn't deserve something like that. just like everyone else said..at least you all got out ok and things can be replaced so life goes on. it's probably really tough to keep a smile at a time like this but i can guarantee that it will help so much.

good luck with whatever you do, sorry i never got the chance to take a ride up to colts neck to check out your ride...we'll meet up sometime though so you can still live through mine hehe. sorry, just trying to lighten the mood around here.

drop me an email if you see this, let us know how things are going.. real sorry to hear about everything.
