I have an 06' 6mt with 22K. Thought I needed them so I asked questions on the tech section under brakes foe months and I can easily answer your question. Hawk HPS are great but not as grabby as OEM. 03-04 had different brakes and only Brembo's were good but expensive to maintain. I looked at aftermarket but found out that 05-07 were class leading braked when our cars came out. Unless you take it to the track all you neeis OEM. I got mine several weeks ago from Tony at Riverside. I probably won't get them installed for another 6-7K since they're not quite qorn out. Hope this helps. BTW, if you do the brakes, you must get the rotors turned.
searching for "brakes" in the brakes section gives us..

Since the 05 brakes had all the earlier issues (03-04) of premature wear resolved, I would stick with the OEM pads. The OEM front pads should last a fair amount of miles. The rears, on the other hand, are usually replaced anywhere from 19,000-30,000 miles.
That's pretty much the conclusion that I arrived at through my research here. I bought front and rear OEM replacements but, I haven't installed them yet. My mechanic thinks my brakes still have at least another 5K on them.
Let me clear something up real quick.
Hawk are more high performance pads. They bite well when heated up, such as in track conditions, but bite less in normal conditions. OEM will perform well in normal conditions but fade in track conditions. I suggest OEM.
