Blitz SUS intake question
Blitz SUS intake question
The SUS intake system for the G35 coupe, I don't understand if its a air filter add on or a whole intake system? If it is a whole intake system, are there actual pics of the intake. Also is it cold air or short ram. Thanks

Re: Blitz SUS intake question
This is a short ram intake, a cold air intake puts the filter much lower, usually behind the bumper therefore drawing in cold air. Short ram intakes like the Blitz will draw in engine compartment air, which is usually hot. I think that the general consensus on aftermarket intakes is that some torque is lost at lower rpms with some gains at high rpms. With the Blitz, what you see is what you get. You remove the stock air box and attach the SUS filter in its place.
Re: Blitz SUS intake question
O thanks Biscotti, so its kind of like the pop charger. I could never really tell what it was. It looked like all you get was the filter, and I guess you do plus a small extension to hook it up to the stock pipe. So is it possible to put it on with a Ztube? thanks

Re: Blitz SUS intake question
The Z-tube is definitely a must if you want to change your air intake and it will work fine with the Blitz SUS. You're right, the Blitz is very similar to the JWT pop charger. I think that most people who went the pop charger route also did the Z-tube mod. I think that someone on this forum has the Blitz. I would have concerns that the Blitz allows too much air flow, ie. doesn't filter the air well enough. Not speaking from experience, though, just what I've read on some other forums.
