Front License Plate fix ticket!!

I got another fix ticket for missing front license plate. LOL (yeah.. it was
LA downtown around 11pm ish)
First of all, I just don't want to drill a hole on my R35 bumper, so is there
any way to put front license plate without drilling a hole?

I used Stillen front license plate bracket when I had a stock G35 bumper but
since I modified it I don't have any other choice.

Anyone tried velcro or something else to put front license plate temporarily
and had the ticket cleared?
Asked to cop when he was issuing ticket about velcro and he said it would be
ok as long as it sticks to the bumper but I don't know it would work with other cops.

Thanks in advance.

Sucks. My car has a stock front bumper and I need to put a plate on it...hopefully I can find a bracket for cheap. Sorry this doesn't answer your question but I can relate.

use double sided tape with a frame attached to you plate. even put bolts and nuts as if it were mounted.

or find a cop you know and have him sign off on it.

+1 i wouldnt even try the bolt.. park a good distance away but close enough for the viewing officer to be able to see it and you're good. Once, I didnt even put the plate on and parked my car facing the opposite way-CHP officer just looked out the window of his office, saw the car and wrote it off... LOL.

Yah they're getting strict out here in cali..plus your car is modified, instant flag down..

try the double sided sticky as mentioned, or try that jdm bracket, drill under the front openning of the bumper.screw it in and wala..and u dotn have to worry about other problems..

Ah yes, the games we must play....! =0)

We don't know what kind of bumper you have so it's difficult to give you any knowledgeable advice. (no pic in your garage) If you have a bumper like mine (KurumaZ) you can make a large L bracket and just attach it inside the bottom opening. If you use Velcro the officer might fall down laughing at your attempt to fool him. I used double sided adhesive once and got the same reaction, he thought it was funny and I just had to be more creative....

I have a GTR bumper so it's kinda tricky to find the perfect spot for drilling holes. Thinking about put the plate a bit off from the center of the bumper like evo but not quite sure.

Thanks anyway.

Thanks guys. I finally ended up with drilling holes on the CF lip under the bumper and screwed bolts in it and done.

Will post up a pic soon.

Again, thanks for your great advice!!!

You could move to GA, you don't have to have a front license plate here
